After being committed to Kentucky for nearly a year, four-star QB Mac Jones of Jacksonville Bolles changed his commitment to Alabama on Tuesday after spending the day in Tuscaloosa, his second visit to campus since being offered by the Tide in April.

“I’m excited to be a part of such a great community and program,” Jones told GN’s David Hickox. “It has been a dream to play for Coach Saban and the University of Alabama. The players, coaches and people at Alabama are amazing. Coach Brent Key (the Tide’s interior offensive line coach) actually picked me up when I committed.”

Jones’ commitment to Kentucky went through some ups and downs in the past year. It went from solid to shaky after the Wildcats fired offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, who was Jones’ primary recruiter. After a trip to Lexington in April, Jones had seemed solid again. But it appears Alabama turned up the heat since April, and Jones announced his new commitment via Twitter.
