Robinson Admits to Drug Suspensions at NFL Combine
Former Florida wide receiver Demarcus Robinson admitted to drug suspensions and more during his visit with the media at the NFL Combine.
INDIANAPOLIS — At his appearance in front of the media at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Florida wide receiver Demarcus Robinson candidly shed some light on his numerous suspensions and the off-field problems he had in college. He referred to drug suspensions early in his career, a stint in rehab and a meeting with someone who offered him something that might have represented extra benefits.
He admitted to three drug suspensions early in his career and that he went to a “45-day recovery program” while at UF called the Florida Recovery Center. He said it happened early in his UF career, presumably his freshman year. He said after that, he was “tested twice per week my sophomore year and tested twice per month my junior year.”
Why was he suspended for the final time (the fourth total in his career) before the 2015 Florida State game?
