Two Underrated Gators

The Gators will need more than a handful of star players to repeat as SEC East champions this season.
“Glue guys,” X-factors” – whatever you want to call them, they are players who fly under the publicity radar, but their worth is vital to the overall success of a team.

Florida has plenty of star power on defense, but collectively the pieces must all fit for everything to mesh. One lineman, in particular, helps that to happen. On offense, it’s easy to find unheralded contributors along the line. While the depth is still being developed, there is one guy who already is doing yeoman work.

G/C Tyler Jordan: Jordan (6 feet 4, 295 pounds) is a sophomore who often gets overlooked when dissecting the offensive line. His greatest attribute is his versatility.

DE Jordan Sherit: Florida has plenty of headliners on defense, but Sherit might be the most underrated player on the unit. He was coming into his own last season when he was injured against South Carolina.
