Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts - Peking Dreams

The Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts continues its groundbreaking inaugural season under new Executive Director Denton Yockey with The National Circus and Acrobats of the People's Republic of China and their awe-inspiring production of Peking Dreams on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Direct from Beijing, experience a jaw-dropping spectacle of Chinese circus and acrobatics performed by China’s most revered circus artists! Marvel at the unparalleled grace, agility, flexibility, and athleticism displayed by these highly trained artists in various acts of juggling, contortion, and balance. Enhanced with traditional Chinese music, brightly colored costumes, and elaborate props, this exciting production is sure to be a hit with children and adults alike.



Founded in 1953, The National Circus and Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China is one of the longest running and most distinguished circus troupes in China’s history. The troupe is especially acclaimed because of the unique acts in their program such as Great Teeterboard, Grand Flying Trapeze, Group Contortion, Straw Hats Juggling and Girls’ Balance with Bowls. Many of the artists have won international awards for their performances.



The Thrasher-Horne Center is a not-for profit performing arts venue and conference center owned and operated by St. Johns River State College located on the Orange Park campus at 283 College Drive in Orange Park, Florida.
