PorchFest 2015: Sights & Scenes

The second annual Jacksonville PorchFest, a music festival held on the welcoming front porches of Historic Springfield, took place on Saturday, November 7, 2015. The family-friendly, free event featured local musicians from a wide variety of genres.

Attendees strolled from porch to porch and “camped out” on front lawns and sidewalks to enjoy live, local talent. PorchFest 2015 featured beautiful Klutho Park, and concluded with an evening performance in the historic bandstand.

The popular festival brings important attention to Springfield’s beautiful architecture and ongoing revitalization and highlights the breadth of musical talent here in Jacksonville. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to SPAR’s arts programming and education fund.
