Methodology
In order to give Valentine’s Day celebrants a sense of how good a deal they’re getting in their cities compared with the rest of the country, WalletHub examined 100 of the most populated U.S. cities across three key dimensions, namely “Valentine’s Day Budget”, “Valentine’s Day Activities”, “Valentine’s Day Gift Accessibility” and “Weather Forecast for Valentine’s Day.” WalletHub then identified 15 metrics that are relevant to those dimensions. The data set is listed below with the corresponding weight for each metric.
