Jaxsons Night Market Moving To Hemming Park
Hemming has a new name and now Jaxsons Night Market will be its first flagship event.
Jaxsons Night Market is pleased to announce Community First Credit Union as presenting sponsor, enabling the monthly market to permanently relocate to Hemming Park starting Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Held from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, Jaxsons Night Market is an open-air market in the heart of downtown that features local farmers, artisan and craft makers, street food vendors, fashion retailers and a craft beer garden by Intuition Ale Works. For Jaxsons, by Jaxsons, the market celebrates an array of
locally owned businesses that help make Jacksonville unique.
“Supporting small and emerging businesses in North Florida is an important focus of our community efforts,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president. “Jaxsons Night Market is providing a wonderful outlet for creativity, collaboration and entrepreneurship – all core values at Community First.”
Starting on the heels of One Spark, Jaxsons Night Market has attracted thousands of people to downtown and supported dozens of locally owned small businesses. Recognizing the need to assist the efforts to lure businesses to open in the urban core, Community First Credit Union has become a major financial supporter of Jaxsons Night Market.
“Community First’s critical support allows us to help spark both downtown development and small business growth,” said Jaxsons Night Market Executive Director Mike Field. “We need a consortium of community partners like Community First Credit Union to collaborate and help propel Jacksonville to become the vibrant center of culture within our region.”
