Native Sun Coming To Jacksonville Beach

Jacksonville-based Native Sun has announced plans to open their third natural foods market in Jacksonville Beach in early 2015.

We are pleased to announce that Native Sun is coming to Jacksonville Beach! We plan to open our third store in the Jacksonville area at the corner of 3rd Street and 15th Avenue North in the first quarter of 2015.

We have received customer requests to come to the beaches for years and we are very excited to finally become part of the Jacksonville Beaches community.

The Story of Native Sun

Growing up on a steady diet of fast food, Aaron Gottlieb soon found himself overweight and looking for answers. At age 18, after failed attempts at the latest fad diets, and his weight sitting at 220 pounds, Aaron saw his need for a lifestyle change.

At first, Aaron decided to adopt a vegetarian diet and began ordering fast food menu items without the meat. Although not particularly healthy, Aaron’s new diet allowed him to drop 60 pounds. He later removed dairy from his diet, shed more weight, and took a job at a natural food store. While working at the store, Aaron developed an interest in organic and natural foods. After college, he returned to Jacksonville with a mind for business and a passion for organics.

In 1996, motivated by the power of proper diet and healthy food choices, Aaron and his wife Erica opened Native Sun. As self-described “health educators,” Aaron and Erica set out to improve their own lives as well as the lives of their customers. They demanded organic foods free of GMOs and other harmful additives. The Store soon built a reputation based on research and standards. Over the next decade, Native Sun grew, introducing a second location in 2006. Today, Native Sun remains Jacksonville’s trusted purveyor of both organic foods and knowledge.
