Hyatt Rolls Out Urban Bike Rental Program in Downtown

Bike Hyatt, an urban bike rental program, is the newest addition to downtown Jacksonville's growing network of transportation options.
Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront has debuted an urban bike rental program that provides bikes for guests to use to leisurely explore downtown. The hotel launched the program, in keeping with its commitment to health and well-being, as a way to encourage guests to connect with all that the city’s urban core has to offer.

“Biking is an ideal way to explore a new city, and its popularity is growing in urban centers all over the country,” said Gino Caliendo, general manager for Hyatt. “As Jacksonville’s downtown continues to grow, we want to not only enable our guests to get out and enjoy the warm Florida sun, views of the St. Johns River and shopping and dining destinations, but also to offer services on par with any other major destination.”

Hyatt bicycle rentals feature brightly colored frames and black tires on a street cruiser and include a helmet, bike lock and front basket. Rentals are available 24-hours a day from the concierge desk so guests can cruise the Riverwalk to catch a sunrise, pedal Hyatt’s 2.25 and 3.75 mile detailed routes through downtown or check out the area’s shopping, dining and nightlife destinations.

Guests must be at least 18 years old to rent the bicycles at the cost of $25/day. More information is available at www.jacksonville.hyatt.com.
