Lisa Santoianni: Trees of Big Talbot Island Photo Essay

There are few places in Jacksonville that are as beautiful and mysterious as the beaches and trees of Big Talbot Island. Generations of Floridians has been bewitched by the phosphorescent sands and waters of the beach and used the fine white clay of that beach for pottery and ceramics. Photographer Lisa Santoianni presents a gorgeous photo essay exposing this beautiful location's trees. Join us after the jump for the breathtaking images.

Big Talbot Island is generally known for its driftwood on the beaches. Usually unnoticed is that BTI is a nature preserve park on the costal water. There are beautiful nature paths that are perfect for walks with your significant other or as a family. It’s set back from the road, which makes it very peaceful and great for picnics.
