With building permits in hand, work has begun transforming the former Tento Churrascaria at 526 First St. N. into the Polynesian-themed restaurant. The restaurant will be the third of its kind for owner Steve Tsuchiya, who opened his first Da Big Kahuna eight years ago in Hawaii, followed by a second restaurant in Fort Lauderdale nearly two years ago

New name for the concept behind Marker 32 and Palm Valley Fish Camp, replacing the former Caribbee Key. They recently got an  outdoor seating permit.


The interior has finally been gutted and underway this month.




Old Publix (Atlantic Blvd.)


Fencing and construction has appeared at this long defunct Publix on Atlantic Blvd., east of Mayport Rd.


Solano Cycle


A new scooter store on Beach Blvd. at the beach.

The catering company has moved into a new, smaller space in the strip next to the scooter store, from its space on Atlantic Blvd.

Interior work finally underway this month.


Former Metropolis


The extremely short-lived space on N. 3rd St. has seen some traffic flow lately and gutting out for a possible new concept.
