Commuter Rail Study Update

As a part of the First Coast Commuter Rail Feasibility Study, Gannett Fleming releases their final station recommendations. These locations will be used to determine potential ridership numbers for commuter rail corridors in Jacksonville

Attached please find a memorandum describing the station locations the consultants will be using for travel demand forecasting. The station listwas assembled based on comments received from the Project Task Force andCitizens' Advisory Group as well as other comments received from other online sources. Please note that the locations listed represent the center point("centroid") of a proposed station area for modeling purposes only. They are not meant to be the precise or final location of a future station. If commuter rail corridors advance beyond this feasibility study, JTA will conduct a more detailed analysis of station locations in collaboration with communities and other stakeholders.

The next JTA Commuter Rail Citizens Advisory Group meeting will be held on August 27, 2008.  The location will be JTA's offices on Myrtle Avenue.
